Michele Motiscause | Scarab'Occhi | 2021
Michele Motiscause’s series “Scarab’Occhi" is rough and immediate. Realised in a precise moment, such as the one caused by Covid-19, the works tell about the artist’s emotions and thoughts during the confinement which we all found ourselves living in. The alienation in the expressions, the balance between life and the immobility of an almost vegetative status, the red and empty eyes, the trickling blood that becomes a metaphor of the cultural bleeding that society is currently facing, are all elements referring to that kind of energy felt by Michele Motiscause, in that specific temporal context.
